Summer is for lake weekends with besties! My favorite thing about them is how we all worked together and became each other’s biggest cheerleaders. Can’t imagine doing life without y’all!! 😘

My favorite thing is being a mom to these 6. With our youngest about to turn 18 we’re so close to being done with the raising part. It has been the biggest blessing and such an honor to serve these kids and watch them grow into amazing adults.

I would never call motherhood easy, but it’s such a blessing. The hardest parts are worth it. I love you all dearly @papermess @emilyjoylemus @mrah_l @olivia.g.lemus @a_lemus_ @juliel.12 !!

Take a walk with me through the fields of ranunculus at The Flower Fields in Carlsbad, CA. They were stunning and went for as far as the eye could see. So many different colors.

Kayla, our oldest, has been a delight to watch as she’s pursued her dreams and calling. She persisted in getting into the art school she wanted to go to even though they told her all the community college credits she had earned wouldn’t count and she’d have to start all over again at year one. Through the pandemic, living 1,400 miles away from home, and taking new risks, I’ve watched her develop perseverance and a deep dependence on God. We’re so proud of her! Congratulations on your BFA in Experimental Animation from Laguna College of Art and Design, Kayla!

Kayla, I have loved watching you become such a beautiful and lovely person. You are magnetic to other people as you love and care so deeply for them. Your art is a reflection of your love for God and others. I cannot even begin to explain the beauty of watching you create in such a unique way that shares how you see people, how you love God and how you long to see people know God’s love for them. I’ve been in awe of your art since you were a tiny little girl and I pray that your heart and creativity continues to be cultivated throughout your lifetime. You are brilliant and you shine bright. Keep sharing the gifts you have because they bless others immensely. I know you are living a life of great impact and will continue to make this world a more compassionate and lovely place. I love you and am so glad to have you as a dear friend.

This kid melts my heart. Seriously, I don’t think he knows how much power he holds to turn me into a puddle of mush. We moved him into his college dorm today and all I can think about are all these precious memories of his thick, boy fingers clinging to mine when we walked to his pre school class. Or the vroom, vroom noises he made when playing with cars. Or the way he would break dance without a care in the world to a fun upbeat song. Or finding him sleeping in a chair after staying up all night for a coding competition. Or the way he wraps his sisters up in his arms with big bear hugs. See - mush. Anthony, you are a joy and for as much as I can’t believe (and am in a little bit of denial) that you’re are old enough to be starting college, I’m so proud of you and know you’ll do great things! I love you @a_lemus_!!
